Tampa Women's

Book Club

A quarterly gathering for local women who value good conversation and in-person connection

Welcome to the club.

We meet quarterly to discuss a timely, thought-provoking book.

Then we are visited by a local creative (mixologist, jewelry maker, artist, photographer) who shares a piece they created that was inspired by the text. This helps us to experience the text in a new way while developing a new connection with local talent.

To maintain a safe, curated experience where new friendships can develop, the details for each meeting are delivered privately, via email.

How it works

01  CHECK YOUR INBOX

02 READ THE ASSIGNED TEXT

03  SHOW UP AT THE SECRET LOCATION

04  SHARE YOUR BIG IDEAS

Meet the Founder.

There is no substitution for real-time, in-person connection. Tampa Women's Book Club is a safe, curated space reserved for women ages 25-45 who crave elevated conversation. We operate intentionally, selecting our texts, members, and spaces with the purpose of creating a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone in the room.

During a time of great disconnection, we hope to help more women to feel a little more seen and satisfied.

Danielle Bayard Jackson is the founder of Friend Forward, and has dedicated her career to studying what the research has to say about women's connection, cooperation and communication. When she was a high school teacher and academic chair, she heard stories from young women hungry to be seen. When she left the classroom and began working with female entrepreneurs, those women privately shared the same desire. During a time when social media has become a replacement-- not a supplement-- for connection, Danielle knew she needed to create a space that goes back to basics. Before the pandemic, she led a book club for four years, but things fell apart when people began to quarantine. Now that many women have returned to the "real world", they are hungry for live, intimate spaces...

... and Tampa Women's Book Club was created to answer that call.

"I JUST NEEDED A SPACE TO CATCH MY BREATH."
